This place is a such a unique concept! My fiance and I dropped in to see what it was all about, and ended up spending nearly an HOUR going through all of the great options for things we wanted to have at our wedding! The staff were super friendly and accommodating as we purchased some bigger pieces. We will definitely be returning before our big day!

I found my wedding dress, veil, and jewelry at Something Blue. The gals who work there are very knowledgeable and it was easy to find “the one”. They even gave me suggestions on our color scheme since I picked an off white dress. I cannot day enough good things about their seamstress, JoDee. She was SO helpful and kind throughout the alterations process. She even helped me pick my veil and jewelry! She works fast and is an invaluable asset to this store. We ended up using her for my mom’s “mother of the bride” dress alterations, too. We were very last minute about it, but she worked us in and did an excellent job!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE Something Blue & Alterations by JoDee. I got a spectacular $1600 dress for $900!!! Many BRAND NEW dresses from top designers like Mori Lee by Madeline Gardner. If you want to be treated like the unique bride that you are, this is the best bridal shoppe in Central Iowa. They even stayed after hours to get me into the dress of my dreams. I can't show my dress yet but will post photos of the accessories I got at low, low prices. Love this store and all the great ladies there who give wonderful personalized attention!!! I was only planning on browsing, but ended up buying my wedding dress here! The store has amazing, beautiful dresses in immaculate condition for a fraction of regular wedding dress costs, all organized in a way that makes it very easy to shop. The staff is very helpful without being pushy--which is all too common at wedding boutiques. Don't waste your time and money at a chain--go here first!
